Who we are

Action2Day ("Action2Day," "we," "us" or "our") publishes general educational guides about household bills and everyday costs at action2day.com. You can reach us about privacy at any time by emailing info@action2day.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

We collect information only when you choose to send it to us through a form on this website:

• Contact form: your name, email address, an optional subject line and your message.
• Sign-up form: your name, email address, an optional mobile phone number, and whether you ticked the text message consent box and the terms consent box.

Information recorded when you submit a form

When you submit a form, we also record your IP address, basic browser details (the "user agent" your browser sends, which describes the browser and device type), the page the form was sent from and the date and time of your submission. We keep this with your submission as a record of your request and of any consent you gave, and to help protect our forms from spam and abuse.

Information we do not collect

We don't ask for, and you should not send us, Social Security numbers, bank or card details, account numbers or passwords. Our forms don't ask for them, and we don't need them to respond to you.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• Read and respond to messages you send us
• Send the email updates you asked for and, if you opted in, informational text messages
• Keep a record of your consent and of any request to unsubscribe or delete your information
• Protect this website and our forms against spam, fraud and misuse
• Comply with applicable laws

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We don't rent or trade it, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We may share information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers that help us operate, such as our website host and the services we use to deliver email and text messages. They may process your information only to provide those services to us.
• Legal reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Action2Day, our readers or others.
• A change in ownership, such as a merger or transfer of this website, in which case this policy would continue to apply to information collected under it.

Mobile information and text messages

Providing a mobile number is optional. We send text messages only if you tick the text message consent box on our sign-up form. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, other than the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf. You can reply STOP to any message to cancel, or HELP for help. Our Mobile Policy describes the text message program in full.

Cookies, trackers and fonts

This website does not use advertising trackers, advertising cookies or analytics tools, and we don't build profiles of our readers.

Our pages load the Fraunces and Inter typefaces from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google. When your browser loads a page, it requests these font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address and basic browser information as part of that request. Google's own privacy policy applies to that request. Like most websites, our web host may also keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, pages requested and browser details, for security and to keep the site running.

How long we keep information

We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond and follow up. We keep sign-up information for as long as you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we may keep a minimal record of your email address or phone number and your opt-out so that we honor your choice. We keep consent records as long as needed to show that consent was given. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from email: use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or email info@action2day.com.
• Stop text messages: reply STOP to any text message from us.
• Access, correction or deletion: email info@action2day.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. We will honor requests as required by the laws that apply to you, and we won't treat you differently for making one.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you send us. Form submissions are stored outside the public part of our website and are not accessible over the web. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, however, so we can't ensure absolute security.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please email info@action2day.com and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Our guides link to official public websites, such as those of federal agencies. We don't control those websites, and their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change to how we use personal information, we will make that clear on this page before the change takes effect.
